01
The challenge
Aerovia's booking funnel leaked hardest on mobile: slow fare searches, a seven-step checkout, and error states that stranded travelers mid-purchase. Paid traffic was profitable on desktop and underwater on phones.
02
The solution
We redesigned the funnel around momentum — instant cached fare results, a three-step checkout with saved traveler profiles, and recovery paths for every failure mode (expired fares, payment retries, session restore).
03
Architecture & engineering
Edge-cached search results with Redis-backed fare freshness; optimistic UI over resilient booking APIs; the whole flow instrumented so every drop-off has a named cause and an owner.
04
The outcome
Mobile completion rose 27%, fare-search latency fell nearly two-thirds, and the paid-media team turned mobile campaigns back on profitably within a quarter of launch.
