01
The challenge
Atlas coordinated 12,000 daily shipments through spreadsheets, WhatsApp groups, and three disconnected legacy tools. Dispatchers re-keyed data between systems; customers called for status because nothing else could tell them.
02
The solution
We consolidated operations into one platform: dispatch board with drag-and-drop assignment, a driver app with offline-capable proof-of-delivery, customer tracking portals, and automated invoicing fed by actual delivery data.
03
Architecture & engineering
An event-driven Node.js backend keeps dispatch, driver, and customer views consistent in real time over WebSockets. The React Native driver app queues actions offline and syncs when coverage returns — non-negotiable for desert routes.
04
The outcome
Dispatch time per shipment fell 75%, invoice disputes dropped 41% now that billing reflects signed proof-of-delivery, and customer status calls have largely disappeared.
